Rupert Murdoch

Old-schooler, Rupert Murdoch, writes a thoughtful piece for Fortune saving the best for last:

…the future of media is a future of relentless experimentation and innovation, accelerating change, and–for those who embrace the new ways in which consumers are connecting with each other–enormous potential.

Wieden + Kennedy

This is old news but I had to post it as it’s still relevant . The news (here, here and here) being Nike is moving its running business to Crispin Porter + Bogusky. A lot has been written about it as Nike and Wieden + Kennedy grew up together. Of note: In January of 2006 I made a trip to W+K in Portland. It was my first time up in the Pacific Northwest and it reminded me a bit of my native Minnesota.

Also of note: Interview with Alex Bogusky from the New Denver AD Club can be found here, here and here.
