I’ve never really been a big Lady Gaga fan. More so of Christopher Walken. But his rendition of Poker Face above works for me.

German Elections
http://www.suture.com/2009/09/german-elections/
This Sunday Angela Merkel will most likely be elected to another term of Chancellor here in Germany. The posters are all over the city just waiting to be defaced. Mean Marek is fed up with them all so decided to create some of his own slogans to accompany the existing ones.
via Good thing Merkel decided to ditch the terrible copy of Obama’s logo seen here. And lastly, deface your own poster at Und Alle so Yeah!!!

A Few of My Favorite Things
http://www.suture.com/2009/05/a-few-of-my-favorite-things/
Julie Andrews, as Maria, singing “My Favorite Things” in “The Sound of Music” is one of my favorite things this Friday. The lyrics themselves are a delight: Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings These are a few of my favorite things Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes Silver white winters that melt into springs These are a few of my favorite things When the dog bites When the bee stings When I’m feeling sad I simply remember my favorite things And then I don’t feel so bad Then follow this up with the following covers: Andre 3000, Gary Hoey, Hiromi’s Sonicbloom, John Coltrane, Automaton Destructo, Negativeland, Novica tuyera, and Tori Amos. And lastly, Björk’s version in “Dancer in the Dark” is a heart-wrenching rendition to watch which is the complete opposite of Julie Andrews’ version.
